Job summary

Pave America is seeking a remote, field-based Sales Trainer to coach and certify our sales and estimating teams across the country. The role emphasizes hands-on PavementSoft training, strict SOP adherence, and rapid onboarding of acquired companies.

Expect extensive travel and close collaboration with Center of Excellence. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in paving sales/estimating, solid knowledge of production rates, and exceptional coaching and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in paving or pavement maintenance in sales, estimating, project management, or operations.
• Knowledge of paving production rates and profitability drivers.
• Ability to learn software quickly and teach others.
• Experience training or onboarding sales or estimating teams.
• Experience building, following, and reinforcing SOPs.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Travel to operating companies nationwide to train salespeople and estimators in the office and field.
• Train teams to use PavementSoft from lead management through estimating, bidding, and handoff to operations.
• Teach and reinforce standard operating procedures and review adherence during site visits.
• Coach estimators on building accurate estimates using standard production rates and cost standards.
• Explain how production rates affect bid pricing and job margin.
• Assist with onboarding acquired companies onto PavementSoft and company SOPs.
• Onboard new salespeople and estimators quickly and productively.
• Ride along on customer visits and site walks to coach real-world scenarios.
• Develop and maintain training materials and assessments with Center of Excellence.
• Track training completion and adoption by operating company and report issues.
• Serve as field resource for PavementSoft questions and bring feedback to Center of Excellence.
