Ferrellgas is seeking a Mgr. Field Safety to lead a team of Region Safety Managers, shaping safety strategies across field operations. The role partners with operational leadership to foster a strong safety culture, manage risk, and ensure regulatory compliance.

This senior position requires traveling across regions to supervise audits, investigations, and program implementation, while providing strategic guidance and mentorship to safety professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible safety experience, including leading professionals.
• Experience managing geographically dispersed teams.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and safety regulations.
• Experience in energy/utility/manufacturing/industrial environments preferred.
• Ability to influence leaders and drive organizational change.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• CSP or similar certification preferred.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• U.S. work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Leads and develops a team of Region Safety Managers.
• Develops and executes safety strategies across field operations.
• Provides leadership on safety initiatives and compliance.
• Oversees implementation of safety programs across regions.
• Monitors safety metrics and drives improvements.
• Oversees incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regs.
• Conducts field audits and assessments.
• Collaborates with Operations, HR, Risk, and Employee Development.
• Supports emergency response planning and incident guidance.
• Manages department budgets and resources.
• Represents Ferrellgas with regulatory agencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
