Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a System Reliability Test Engineer to troubleshoot, repair, and validate its automated robotic systems across customer sites. You will become the system expert for repair and replacement of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic subsystems and support commissioning, testing and operations teams.

The role requires working on automated storage and retrieval systems, adapting to dynamic field conditions, and ensuring 5S and safety standards daily.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in electronics, automotive, automation, manufacturing, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Basic Excel and PowerPoint (Microsoft tools) to Importing datasets, basic chart production, running Pivot Tables, applying filters on data.
• Basic networking skills such as IP address, MAC address, ping, SSH into machines.
• Advanced troubleshooting (reading CAD drawings/maintenance manuals/user manuals).

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on systems of Automated Storage and Retrieval System.
• Support continuous operation by adjusting, calibrating, repairing, replacing components.
• Troubleshoot PLC, run SQL queries, and execute test plans.
• Communicate schedule-impacting problems to required team members.
• Responsible for cleanup of equipment and removal of replaced parts.
• Assist in training / onboarding of team members as required.
