Job summary

West Fraser seeks a proactive field-based representative to support Minnesota and surrounding states remotely. You will drive customer engagement, promote wood products to builders, and coordinate marketing efforts with inside and outside teams.

You will analyze market trends, gather product usage insights, and build strong relationships with pro-dealers, retailers, and industrial customers to achieve revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience in marketing, sales, construction, or building products.
• 2–5 years in home construction, building materials, sales, marketing, or related field.
• Knowledge of construction and building materials.
• Strong planning, organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including presentations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Establishing, managing, and maintaining customer relationships by ensuring excellent service and follow-up.
• Supporting the design and implementation of regional marketing programs with key pro-dealers, retail accounts, and builders that align with corporate sales and marketing objectives.
• Promoting new and existing products to contractor yards and builders.
• Developing product and program knowledge to support customers and internal teams in the marketplace.
• Build and maintain relationships with key pro-dealers, retail accounts, builders, and industrial customers.
• Provide responsive service, proactive follow-up, and continued learning about customer business models.
• Serve as a knowledgeable field representative and customer resource within the marketplace.
• Partner closely with inside sales, sales management, and marketing teams to achieve revenue objectives.
• Collaborate with the outside marketing team and support staff to share information and coordinate territory activities.
• Provide input to territory planning discussions and sales and marketing initiatives.

Education
