Job summary

Neros Technologies is seeking a Field Instructor to lead its Mobile Training Team. You will deliver training across the U.S. and abroad, manage logistics, and serve as the primary customer contact for deployments, ensuring safety and high instructional standards.

You will develop curriculum, assess trainees, maintain records, and collaborate with Mission Success to ensure training aligns with system capabilities. Travel is 50% while remaining remote-friendly.

Qualifications

• Prior military experience or experience working with the military (strongly preferred).
• Experience teaching, coaching, or mentoring adults in technical or tactical environments (strongly preferred).
• Possess a valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate or obtain certification within 45 days of hire.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and classroom leadership skills.
• Familiarity with FPV systems and UAS operations, including basic air and ground components.
• Confidence leading groups in both classroom and field environments, with the ability to adapt on the fly.
• Experience using flight simulators as part of training programs (preferred).
• Working knowledge and experience with ATAK (preferred).
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, including grading, reporting, and inventory tracking.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructor and customer-facing point of contact for all field training operations.
• Deliver classroom instruction using standardized curriculum, ensuring engagement and comprehension.
• Coach students through hands-on troubleshooting and system operation across varying skill levels.
• Manage pre- and post-course logistics, including scheduling, site setup, gear preparation, and customer coordination.
• Maintain detailed training records, rosters, sign-in sheets, and pass/fail assessments.
• Submit after-action reports, performance summaries, and feedback to the Training Lead.
• Identify trends or challenges in student performance and provide structured feedback for curriculum improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align training with operational realities and system capabilities.
• Provide end-user feedback to inform product development and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain professionalism and instructional quality across classroom and range environments.
