Job summary

AMERISAFE is seeking a Field Case Manager to join our Chicago-based Workers' Compensation Claims Team. This remote role handles on-site investigations, determines compensability, establishes reserves, and processes benefit payments while coordinating with injured workers and professionals across the state.

The ideal candidate has claims experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience, and the ability to travel within a defined territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related professional business experience acceptable.
• State license to handle Workers' Compensation claims if required.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site and in-person investigations to determine compensability.
• Establish reserves and document decision making.
• Issue benefit payments and notify the State administrative authority as required.
• Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and legal professionals.
• Navigate Workers’ Compensation laws to ensure proper benefits are provided.
