Job summary

AMERISAFE, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented professional for our western Tennessee based Workers' Compensation Claims Team.

You will conduct on-site investigations, determine compensability, establish reserves, document decisions, issue payments, and notify the State authority while coordinating with injured workers, employers, medical and legal professionals to ensure accurate benefits under applicable WC laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related professional business experience acceptable.
• State license to handle Workers' Compensation claims if required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• World-class customer service attitude.
• Proficient with proprietary software and Microsoft Office.
• Remote position: self-directed work style.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record.
• Frequent travel within a designated territory; overnight travel rarely required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site and in-person investigations to assess claims.
• Determine compensability and establish reserves for claims.
• Document decision making and issue benefit payments.
• Notify the State administrative authority as required.
• Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and legal professionals to ensure correct benefits.
