Job summary

SolarEdge Technologies is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to provide pre‑sales support and deliver training for PV and energy storage solutions across rooftop and ground‑mount projects.

You will engage customers, deliver compelling technical trainings, and help design robust solar/storage systems while collaborating with internal teams. This role requires travel up to 30% and strong presentation skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent experience required.
• 3–5 years in Solar or Energy Storage for C&I, Community or Small-Utility-Scale segments.
• Excellent knowledge of NEC, PV and Energy Storage system regulatory codes.
• Practical experience with communication protocols and controls for solar and energy storage; modeling experience.
• Strong communication and time/project management; capable of remote work.

Responsibilities

• Technical team contact in the geographic area for rooftop and ground-mount applications.
• Deliver training and presentations during pre-sales activities for project design and installation.
• Create and deliver product and technical training.
• Understand PV and Energy Storage modeling tools (PVSyst, Helioscope, Energy Tool Base).
• Understand LCOE and eBOS modeling.
• Single line diagram creation, inspection and sharing.
• Read and interpret schematics with a good understanding of high voltage equipment.
• Promote teamwork and build enduring relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Create and participate in webinars, blogs, and white-papers.
