Job summary

Enphase Energy, Inc. in the United States (SoCal Bay Area) seeks a Field Applications Engineer for Residential and C&I systems to support design, deployment, commissioning, and operation of Enphase solar, storage, and energy management solutions in residential and commercial projects across the Bay Area.

You will serve as the technical authority in the field, collaborating with installers, EPCs, distributors, and internal teams to drive adoption, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical engineering, Power Systems, Renewable Energy, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in solar PV, energy storage, or field applications engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting and multi-disciplinary problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel regionally up to 50–70%.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales technical guidance for residential and commercial projects.
• Design architecture and configurations for microinverters, batteries, and energy management.
• Support deployments and field validation of systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, and Support.
• Lead on-site or remote commissioning and optimization.
• Address California grid interconnection and code requirements.
