Job summary

RTI is seeking a Sales Engineer to work with customers on mission-critical, intelligent distributed systems. You will translate complex requirements into real-time software architectures and develop PoC demonstrations for defense programs and other critical industries.

You’ll collaborate with account managers to shape sales strategies, communicate customer needs to product and engineering, and engage with RTI’s developer community and technical publications.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in engineering or computer science; MS preferred.
• 5+ years in application-facing technical professional services or sales.
• Experience with C/C++/Python/Java/.NET.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong understanding of OS and network concepts (UDP, Multicast, etc.).
• Self-motivated sales attitude, team player with minimal day-to-day direction.
• U.S. Citizenship required per contract specifications.

Responsibilities

• Help teams building defense systems choose future software architecture.
• Explain RTI technology to executives, architects, program managers and developers.
• Develop Proof-of-Concept prototypes and demonstrations with prospects.
• Develop sales strategies with account manager teammate.
• Communicate customer technical requirements to Product Management and engineering.
• Join our online developer community forum as an RTI domain expert.
• Publish technical articles and participate in speaking engagements.
