Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Field Application Engineer to bridge customers and product teams in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This remote US-based role focuses on evaluating opticalsolutions, resolving issues, and guiding product specs through development and release cycles.

Responsibilities include customer design reviews, RFIs/RFQs, and documenting performance plans, with travel possible domestically and internationally. Strong Python and English writing skills are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in physical sciences or equivalent engineering field.
• 3+ years of engineering experience with coherent optical modules.
• Experience with product development and NPI processes.
• Working knowledge of transceiver hardware and firmware interfaces.
• Familiarity with CMIS, Ethernet, and InfiniBand standards.
• Practical experience with Cisco and Nvidia platforms, Python proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate technical specifications and trade-offs with customers.
• Participate in customer design reviews and respond to RFIs/RFQs.
• Gather requirements and use cases with customers.
• Troubleshoot customer prototypes at customer sites.
• Create and manage customer product documentation, including performance plans.
• Oversee product change notification process with customers.
• Engage in failure analysis and corrective action activities.
