Job summary

Zero dB Communications (ZdB) is seeking field telecom technicians to support NCT in deploying fiber optic networks across the U.S. The role involves installation/removal of equipment, fiber jumper management, and OTDR testing, with strong emphasis on safety and labelling.

The position is remote with up to 100% travel, primarily in the central US region. Candidates should have at least 1 year in telecom centers, a valid driver's license, and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience in telecommunications central offices, huts or data centers.
• Testing fiber with OTDR and basic remediation based on results.
• Ability to read and interpret Span Basic documents.

Responsibilities

• Install or remove common telecom systems and related cabling in field sites.
• Place fiber jumper cables, label and terminate jumpers, and perform tests.
• Travel frequently to project sites and work outdoors in varying weather.
