Job summary

Zero dB Communications (ZdB) is seeking an itinerant fiber technician to support field engineering and builds across the western United States. This role travels from home to project sites and requires adaptability to varying deployment needs.

You will be part of a team delivering design, construction, splicing, and testing, with weekly pay, PTO, and 401(k) options as voluntary benefits.

Expect 40–70 hour weeks, up to 80% travel, weekends/holidays, and a safety-conscious work environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• At least 1 year of fiber optic field experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft applications.
• Understanding of technology-based services, products, and networking.
• Desirable field engineering and project lead experience.
• Able to meet physical requirements and work outdoors in all weather.
• Self-starter with positive attitude and willingness to work.

Responsibilities

• Itinerant field-based position requiring travel to project sites.
• Travel may extend beyond primary region; travel up to 80% of duties.
• Work schedule of 40–70 hours weekly with 3–4 weeks on, then 7–10 days off; weekends and holidays as needed.
