Job summary

Zero dB Communications (ZdB) seeks field technicians to support NCT division with fiber optic installation, testing, and maintenance across the U.S. Remote work with central-region deployments; travel up to 100% with weekend/home time as needed.

Responsibilities include installing or removing telecom equipment, placing and terminating fiber jumpers, and performing OTDR tests with remediation based on results. Wage ranges $17–$32 per hour, with benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Experience in communications centers; fiber optic testing preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and travel as required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather.
• Willing to transport personal and company tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of fiber characterization and OTDR basics.

Responsibilities

• Install/remove transport or switching equipment and cabling in COs or data centers.
• Place fiber jumper cables in management systems and terminate jumpers.
• Perform OTDR testing and basic remediation based on results.
