Job summary

Zero dB Communications (ZdB) is seeking an itinerant field technician to travel to project sites across the western United States. This role requires strong teamwork, reliability, and technical aptitude in fiber optics.

Candidates should be comfortable with frequent travel and physically capable of demanding outdoor work. The position offers weekly pay, paid time off, paid holidays, and comprehensive voluntary benefits, with $20.00–$40.00 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• At least 1 year of previous experience in the fiber optic field is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company’s minimum safety standard.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft applications.
• In-depth understanding of technology-based services, products and networking.
• Desirable work experience includes field engineering and project lead responsibility.
• Able to meet physical requirements: climb ladders, work in confined spaces and/or various heights, lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., squat, kneel, bend, crawl and stand for long periods of time.
• Enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather.
• Self-starter with positive attitude and willingness to work.
