Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Fiber Optic Splicer 2 to splice/test fiber optic cables underground in both outside (OSP) and inside (ISP) settings. The role is fully remote with travel, and requires splicing certification or ability to obtain one through training.

Qualifications

• Fusion splicing experience required; mechanical connector terminating is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform splicing and testing of fiber optic cables in indoor and outdoor settings.
• Diagnose and resolve fiber optic issues while maintaining network integrity.
• Analyze test results to identify and rectify discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of splicing operations, tests, and configurations.
• Train and support entry-level technicians to ensure quality standards.
• Inspect and clean optical fibers and connectors; manage tool inventory and storage.
• Stay current with advancements in fiber optic tech and obtain Splicing Certificate if needed.
