Job summary
AIR is seeking a part-time Digital Quality Measures Lead to set the technical direction for FHIR-based dQM specifications and mentor a small team of measure developers and analysts. You will interact with CMS and clients, guiding transitions from QDM to FHIR-based measures and ensuring alignment with US Core and QI-Core guides.
The role emphasizes hands-on work translating quality measures into FHIR specifications, overseeing MADiE-based development, and contributing to annual update cycles
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in health informatics, computer science, public health, nursing, or related field with 11+ years of relevant experience.
- 7+ years of experience in health care quality measurement with hands-on QDM and FHIR dQMs.
- Working knowledge of FHIR resources and implementation guides relevant to quality measurement (US Core, QI-Core).
- Familiarity with CMS eCQM lifecycle, including annual update processes and value set management.
- Experience on federal (CMS) contracts and understanding deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
Responsibilities
- Guide transition from QDM-based eCQMs to FHIR-based dQMs, aligning with US Core and QI-Core guides.
- Represent AIR in HL7 workgroups to stay current on FHIR-based quality measurement standards.
- Oversee quality of work by subcontractors to create FHIR-based specifications.
- Lead technical team authoring FHIR-based dQMs in MADiE, troubleshoot logic and terminology.
- Manage updates of dQMs as part of the Annual Update cycle.
- Mentor measure developers and analysts and review work products for accuracy.
