Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer to work on FEMAP/NASTRAN and composites in a remote contracted role for 3–9 months. You will perform structural and stress analysis of carbon fiber components, develop FE models, and collaborate with a distributed team across design, prototyping, testing, and production.

This role requires 2+ years of FEMAP/Nastran experience and a background in composite structures, bonded joints, and clear engineering communication. U.S. person status is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on FEMAP/Nastran structural analysis experience.
• Experience analyzing carbon fiber or composite structures.
• Experience with bonded and fastened joints.
• Ability to translate analysis results into engineering recommendations.
• Strong communication and ability to work with remote or in-office teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural and stress analysis of carbon fiber and composite components and assemblies.
• Develop and evaluate finite element models using FEMAP and Nastran.
• Assess structural performance under loads and identify failure modes or areas of concern.
• Analyze bonded and fastened joints, including load transfer.
• Use engineering calculations to support and check finite element analysis results.
• Document analysis methods, assumptions, results, and recommendations in clear technical reports.
• Work with design engineers to review models and drawings, communicate findings, and support design improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to address structural questions throughout development.
