Job summary

Maximus is seeking an Eligibility Verification Specialist to support FEHB compliance and verification for the FEHB program. This Admin II role reviews enrollee-submitted documents for eligibility accuracy and supports multiple project needs.

The position is full-time and remote, with a requirement to reside within 75 miles of Lawrence, KS for remote eligibility. A background check and security clearances are prerequisites.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of experience.
• Experience reviewing benefits or eligibility documents.
• Ability to maintain accurate case notes during repetitive reviews.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass government background checks and obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review documents for completeness and accuracy against eligibility requirements.
• Identify missing or inconsistent information and resolve discrepancies.
• Conduct outbound follow-ups to request missing information.
• Maintain accurate case records and status updates in systems.
• Escalate complex cases per policy.
• Protect confidential information per privacy and security procedures.
