Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to execute and lead advanced security assessments for client information systems, focusing on FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST RMF requirements. You will guide clients, mentor team members, and support secure cloud architectures.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, prepare reports and customer-facing documentation, and communicate cybersecurity concerns in a fast-paced remote environment with travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in performing or participating in FISMA-based security A&A activities.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain an active SECRET Security Clearance.
• Strong technical background in security engineering, secure architecture, system and network security, authentication protocols, applied cryptography, and application security.
• Expert knowledge of Cloud Computing, FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST/DoD RMF, and NIST SP 800-series publications.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA Security, CCNA Cyber Ops, CySA+, GCIH, GSNA, GCIA, CISA, CISSP/CISSP Associate, CSSLP, CISSO, CFR, CASP+ CE, Cloud+, GICSP, SCYBER.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with clients through verbal communication to perform interviews and lead assessment discussions.
• Utilize expertise in security engineering, secure architecture design, system and network security, authentication protocols, applied cryptography, and application security.
• Conduct comprehensive security assessments by analyzing documentation and performing evidence collection and testing for compliance with standards like FISMA, NIST RMF, and FedRAMP.
• Perform system and network vulnerability scanning and analysis using tools such as Nessus, ACAS, DISA STIGs/STIG Viewer, NMAP, and Acunetix.
• Lead remediation identification, fix procedures, and mitigation strategies.
• Prepare reports, attestations, and customer-facing documentation with clarity and accuracy.
