Job summary

Rhymetec is seeking a Federal Security Program Manager to drive compliance programs for government contractors and federal agencies. You will lead a small team, coordinate audits, and build robust information security programs aligned to NIST 800-53, CMMC, and FedRAMP baselines.

Remote role in the United States with occasional travel. Requires 4+ years in federal cybersecurity/GRC, strong leadership, and experience across waterfall, hybrid, and agile delivery methods.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in federal cybersecurity and GRC.
• Ability to lead in fast-paced, multi-program environments.
• Experience managing waterfall, hybrid, and agile delivery teams.
• Strong leadership and influencing without authority.
• Able to anticipate issues and troubleshoot proactively.
• Understanding of cloud architecture and modern cloud systems.
• PM and people-management delegation skills.
• Federal certifications preferred (CCP highly preferred).
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
• Travel up to 2 weeks per year.

Responsibilities

• Lead federal compliance programs from scoping to delivery at scale for government contractor and federal agency requirements.
• Manage a small team of Security Analysts and drive performance with coaching and accountability.
• Build information security programs aligned to NIST 800-53, CMMC, and FedRAMP baselines.
• Achieve and maintain compliance for selected frameworks and coordinate external audits.
• Lead project management for customer engagements with tasks and milestones.
• Ensure security objectives are met on time and monitor SLAs.
• Track progress and analyze results to identify risks and improvements.
• Serve as a trusted federal compliance advisor to improve client retention.
