Job summary

Everforth ECS seeks a Remote Project Manager located near the National Capital Region to lead a premier enterprise cybersecurity program for a federal civilian agency. Responsibilities include managing IT project lifecycles, coordinating resources, and enforcing Agile practices across SOC, CDM, CI/CD and engineering teams while ensuring compliance and timely delivery to senior government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience supporting Information Technology in a Project Manager capacity.
• Remote but within close proximity to the NCR.
• Active Public Trust 6c clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
• Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification — mandatory.
• Strong technical understanding of Information Technology, IAM, and AWS GovCloud systems and services.
• Project management proficiency with ITIL Foundation framework knowledge.
• Experience managing Agile development teams and impact on architecture.
• Expert knowledge of advances in computer science and engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including presenting to senior government officials.
• Ability to collaborate with managers, service delivery teams, and subcontractors to approve project scope, schedule, cost, and quality plans.
• Experience executing projects to high-quality, on-budget completion.
• Experience with cybersecurity environments including CDM, SOC, DevSecOps, vulnerability management, and cloud-native tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage full life cycle of IT projects, including planning, design, programming, testing, and implementation.
• Determine project needs and acquire resources for success.
• Design project plans with scope, major tasks, milestones, and schedule.
• Utilize Agile methodologies to plan, execute, monitor, and close projects.
• Define project scope and break large projects into manageable sequences.
• Lead day-to-day execution across SOC, CDM, CI/CD, and engineering teams.
• Lead Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog grooming, demos).
• Develop required project documentation (charters, CONOPS, requirements, design, implementation, test plans, schedules).
• Track milestones, risks, and deliverables; mitigate delays.
• Coordinate with federal stakeholders to align execution with goals and compliance.
• Communicate status, risks, and recommendations to technical teams and senior government officials.
• Present project status and recommendations in a clear, actionable format.
• Oversee IT operations spanning user systems, integration, deployment and training across environments.
• Serve as liaison between client personnel and technical teams.
