Siemens Healthineers AG is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel focused on Federal & Procurement for the U.S. market. You will guide federal contract formation, negotiation and administration, and advise on risks relating to government procurement and compliance.

The role involves collaboration with Federal Accounts and cross‑functional teams to drive compliant growth. Required is a U.S. law degree (J.D.) and 8–10 years in federal procurement, with DoD/VA contract experience preferred.

Qualifications

• U.S. law degree (J.D.) required.
• 8–10 years of experience in federal government procurement law in a law firm, corporate legal dept, or federal agency.
• Experience with DoD and/or VA contracts preferred.
• Excellent business acumen, analytical and problem‑solving skills, and proven negotiation skills.
• Strong executive-level communication, presentation and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct the formation, negotiation and administration of federal contracts and subcontracts.
• Draft, review and negotiate a range of agreements including OTAs, licensing, service and teaming agreements.
• Advise on regulatory risk, cybersecurity, data privacy and ethics in government procurement.
• Lead and train a team of federal contracting professionals and manage contract documentation flow.
• Collaborate with Federal Accounts group to mitigate business and regulatory risk.
