Job summary

Commence seeks an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to lead security assessments and authorization for federal systems under RMF and NIST guidelines. You will collaborate with the CIO, Compliance Analysts, and project teams to ensure continuous monitoring and compliance across CMS, VA, DoD, IRS, and DHS/TSA.

This remote role requires 5+ years in information assurance, 3+ years as an ISSO/A&A lead, and a bachelor’s degree. Expect 15–25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years in information assurance or cybersecurity.
• 3+ years as ISSO/A&A lead for federal systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead security assessments and authorization for federal systems.
• Maintain SSP, risk assessments, and POA&M management.
• Coordinate with CMS, VA, DoD, IRS and DHS/TSA security teams.
• Prepare for CMS ARS/IS2P2, and DoD RMF activities.
• Monitor compliance with NIST SP 800-53, HIPAA, and ISO frameworks.
