Job summary

Commence is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to lead security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for federal systems. You will work with the CIO, Cybersecurity Engineers, Compliance Analysts, and project teams to ensure compliance with NIST RMF and relevant agency requirements.

The role involves coordinating ATO activities, maintaining key security artifacts, and supporting CMS, VA, DoD, IRS, and DHS/TSA engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in information assurance or cybersecurity with 3+ years as ISSO/A&A lead.
• Experience with NIST RMF, CMS ARS/IS2P2, and federal security controls.

Responsibilities

• Serve as ISSO for assigned federal systems and liaison to agency security teams.
• Lead security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring activities.
• Develop and maintain SSP, risk assessment, Privacy Impact Assessment, and COOP/IR plans.
• Coordinate with CIO, Cybersecurity Engineers, Compliance Analysts and project teams.
