Job summary

QuantumScape Battery, Inc. is seeking a Director / Senior Director of Government Relations to lead the company’s federal affairs across DOE, DOC, DOD, and Congress. This remote role coordinates with internal teams, outside consultants, and senior leadership to secure funding and shape policy in Washington, DC.

You will build a strategic map of Hill and agency relationships, drive legislative engagement, and manage a portfolio of advocacy initiatives and compliance with CFO oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven track record securing government funding for a tech company.
• Demonstrated fluency in federal government relations with DOD/DOE program offices.

Responsibilities

• Set overall federal government affairs strategy across DOE, DOC, DOD, and Congress.
• Own end-to-end grant/OTA/proposal processes and coordinate with internal teams.
• Apply for factory-scale capital from DOE, DOC, and DOD and manage outside consultants.
