Job summary

SMX is seeking a Federal Financial Business Analyst to join the Client Service Delivery team. The role is 100% remote with minimal travel (<20%) and requires a Public Trust clearance. You will analyze federal budgeting and planning data, document business requirements, and help drive the next generation BAS solution built on SAC for federal customers.

You will collaborate with designers, developers, and budget SMEs to optimize processes, reporting, and financial performance across diverse government programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years in federal financial management or related areas.
• Experience with federal government financial data and processes.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial and operational data to support decision-making.
• Document processes, requirements, and stakeholder needs.
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to identify improvements.
• Recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
