Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to lead cloud strategy for federal opportunities. You will craft compliant, persuasive architectures, align with agency missions, and guide teams through capture and proposal processes.

The role requires strategic communication to executives and technical teams, knowledge of AWS, AI/ML, and security practices, and ability to influence win themes across proposals and orals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 15+ years of related experience, with at least 8+ years of experience architecting cloud solutions.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional strongly preferred).
• Demonstrated expertise in cloud-native architectures and AWS services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions, EventBridge, Bedrock, SageMaker, and Amazon Q.
• Proven experience contributing to federal, state, or local government proposals, including authoring technical volumes, shaping stories, and supporting orals.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal cloud solution strategist during federal capture and proposal efforts.
• Partner with BD, capture managers, proposal managers, and exec stakeholders to define discriminators and win themes.
• Lead development of architecture diagrams, technical volumes, briefings, compliance matrices, and oral content.
