Job summary

Horizon3, a remote cybersecurity company, is seeking a Software Engineer - Attack to join the Federal Engineering team. You will develop attack content and contribute to data model architecture, reporting to the Director of Federal Engineering, and help scale the NodeZero platform.

The ideal candidate combines strong Python development with offensive security interests and experience with distributed systems, Docker, and database design, while thriving in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field, or significant relevant industry experience.
• Proficient in Python software development.
• Proficient with Docker and relational/graph databases.
• Strong grasp of software design principles.
• Experience with Federal networks and secure software development practices.
• Git version control and collaborative workflows.
• Willingness to obtain certifications for federal networks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Attack, Data, Commercial and Federal engineering teams across the full SDLC.
• Enhance NodeZero platform scalability by enabling new offensive features and content.
• Work with attack engineers to understand reverse engineered exploits in production.
• Maintain and extend architecture, design, and data models for new features.
• Identify and resolve bugs with high software quality through reviews, tests, and monitoring.
• Adhere to and improve processes of the Federal Attack Team.
