WAHVE LLC seeks an experienced Commercial Underwriter – Agriculture & Farm to join our remote team. Bring deep insurance knowledge to evaluate and underwrite farm risks for a long-term home-based position with benefits.

This senior role emphasizes underwriting farm exposures, reviewing applications, and collaborating with agents and other teams to maintain profitability. You’ll work from home with flexible full- or part-time schedules and continue to apply your industry expertise.

Competenze

• 25 years of full-time work experience.
• 10 most recent years of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty insurance experience specifically with underwriting of Farm & Agricultural business.

Mansioni

• Evaluate and underwrite farm and agricultural insurance risks, including property, liability, commercial auto, and farm operations exposures.
• Review applications, inspection reports, loss histories, and financial information to determine eligibility and pricing.
• Apply underwriting guidelines to assess risk and determine appropriate coverage, terms and conditions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with independent agents and brokers.
• Provide underwriting guidance and support to agents regarding farm risks and coverage solutions.
• Monitor portfolio performance and make recommendations to maintain profitability.
• Collaborate with loss control, claims, and product teams to improve underwriting outcomes.
• Stay informed on industry trends, agricultural practices and regulatory requirements.
