Job summary

WAHVE offers a remote underwriting role focused on Commercial Lines Property & Casualty with Agriculture & Farm emphasis. The position allows you to leverage extensive insurance experience from home, supporting carrier, MGA, or wholesale broker clients.

The role requires 25 years of full-time work experience and 10+ years in farm underwriting, with benefits including health, 401(k) matching, and a flexible full/part-time schedule.

• 25 years of full-time work experience.
• 10 most recent years of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty underwriting experience in Agriculture & Farm.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite farm and agricultural insurance risks (property, liability, commercial auto, farm operations).
• Review applications, inspection reports, loss histories, and financials to determine eligibility and pricing.
• Apply underwriting guidelines to assess risk and determine coverage, terms and conditions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with independent agents and brokers.
• Provide underwriting guidance to agents on farm risks and coverage solutions.
• Monitor portfolio performance and recommend actions to maintain profitability.
• Collaborate with loss control, claims, and product teams to improve outcomes.
• Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory requirements.
