Job summary

Stride, Inc. seeks a Community Engagement Manager to support NC Virtual Academy (NCVA) by coordinating Strong Start for new students and Learning Coaches.

The role focuses on engagement, training, and effective communication among families, teachers, and support staff in a remote setting. Responsibilities include facilitating orientations, developing parent education programs, and promoting family involvement through multiple channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, human services or related field.
• Two (2) years of experience working with families in a similar capacity, developing parent mentors/Learning Coaches or facilitating community involvement.
• Ability to clear required background check.
• Familiarity with online learning environment; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages Strong Start process for new students and Learning Coaches.
• Facilitates Strong Start orientation sessions and weekly office hours.
• Liaises between students, Learning Coaches and teachers to ensure proper contact and engagement.
• Develops and delivers Learning Coach education programs and parent trainings.
• Provides outreach and training to families responding to Students First Check In surveys.
