Job summary

San Diego State University is seeking a highly organized Faculty Personnel and Instructional Support Coordinator to oversee faculty evaluation, RTP, workload reporting, and related processes across CAL. The role requires handling confidential information and coordinating across departments and campus partners.

The position is full-time, with on-site duties in San Diego and an option for telecommuting after training.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard office procedures and organizational structures.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills and grammar.
• Ability to learn and use office software systems quickly.
• Typically requires a high school program or equivalent with several years of related office experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate faculty evaluation and advancement processes across the college.
• Manage confidential records and ensure documentation is complete and timely.
• Coordinate workload and assigned-time procedures with departments and staff.
• Prepare workload and appointment reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Provide procedural guidance and training on faculty personnel processes.
• Offer coverage during vacancies and peak processing periods.
