Siemens Industry Inc. seeks a Consulting Factory Automation Field Service Engineer working from a home-office with 50-75% travel.

You will provide advanced technical support and commissioning services for Siemens automation systems, both on-site and remotely, reporting to the Operations Manager, Factory Automation Field Service. You will lead installation, integration, and troubleshooting, guide customers, and support project teams while maintaining safety and quality standards in demanding

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in industrial controls.
10–15 years of factory automation field service or similar engineering role.
Minimum 10 years hands-on with Siemens automation equipment and software.
Proficiency with S7-Classic and TIA Portal; knowledge of Profibus/PROFINET and OPC UA.

Responsabilités

Provide advanced technical and operational support for Siemens factory automation equipment and systems.
Guide installation, configuration, commissioning, and integration of automation hardware/software at customer sites.
Engage with customers through clear communication and structured problem-solving under pressure.
Conduct scheduled and emergency field service, including software updates and maintenance.
Integrate computer hardware and software components within automation systems.
Support startup and commissioning activities, manage subcontractors as needed.
Propose system changes using LAD, FBD, GRAPH, SCL, and STL.
Review task plans, drawings, and installation schematics during execution.
Develop daily safety briefs and detailed field reports documenting activities.
Assist with proposal planning by estimating labor, materials, travel, and per diem.
