Job summary

Siemens Industry Inc. is seeking an entry-level Factory Automation Field Service Engineer to join our Services Execution Division. This home-office-based role requires 50-75% travel and reports to the Operations Manager, Factory Automation Field Service.

You will support customers on-site and remotely, delivering advanced technical support and commissioning services. You will engage with customers, install and configure automation hardware/software, and assist project teams with startup

Qualifications

AS or BS in an Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
On-the-job IT experience or formal training.
Exposure to programmable logic controllers and automation concepts.
Troubleshooting complex technical issues and effective resolutions.
Proficient in English; able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Willingness to travel 50–75% of the time.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced technical support, engineering, troubleshooting, and commissioning services for Siemens automation equipment.
Install, configure, and integrate Siemens hardware/software at customer sites and remotely.
Engage with customers with clear communication and structured problem-solving.
Perform scheduled visits and emergency field service needs.
Support project teams with startup activities and retrofits.
Follow safety practices and document daily field reports.
Assist with proposal planning by estimating labor, materials, travel, and per diem.
