Advocate Health offers a remote opportunity for a Full-time Facility Coding Quality professional with inpatient/outpatient hospital coding experience. The role focuses on coding accuracy, compliance, and quality improvement within Integrity Operations, supporting audits, guidance, and cross-team collaboration across AHIMA standards.

The position emphasizes experience with ICD, CPT, HCPCS, and remote work, with travel as needed and a comprehensive benefits package through Advocate Health.

Competenze

• 5 years of expert/professional coding or hospital-based coding experience.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Advanced ability to identify coding quality issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Advanced ability to analyze trends and data and display them in a statistical reporting format.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, video and web conferencing, email, and experience with electronic coding and EHR systems.
• Experience with remote workforce operations.
• Position requires travel and exposure to road and weather hazards.
• Operates the equipment necessary to perform the job.
• Exposed to a normal office environment.

Mansioni

• Research, interpret, and apply coding, payer, and regulatory requirements for accurate professional and hospital coding.
• Develop, maintain, and update coding guidance and reference materials.
• Coordinate and support coding quality audits and track findings.
• Analyze coding quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare summaries and reports for leadership and quality initiatives.
• Partner with integrity operations, coding leadership, clinicians, and education teams to improve documentation quality and coding accuracy.
• Support regulatory, compliance, and quality projects and AHIMA standards.
• Respond to internal inquiries related to coding guidance and audit outcomes.
• Support testing, reporting validation, and workflow updates related to coding quality and compliance.
