Qualifications

• Experience using floor machines for shampoo/extracting is preferred.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Can set up for events using diagrams.
• Able to operate cleaning tools and handle chemicals.
• Able to lift and transport supplies.
• Work effectively under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas by washing furnishings, walls, windows, tile, fixtures, equipment and floors.
• Sanitize bathrooms and replenish supplies.
• Clean all types of flooring surfaces, including stairs.
• Operate floor buffing and waxing machines.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpeting.
• Collect and remove trash and recyclables.
• Distribute and monitor supplies; lock up at end of shift.
• Sweep or shovel snow from buildings and entrances.
• Clean bulletin cases and fixtures; dust as needed.
• Report malfunctions to supervisor.
• Perform setup for special and athletic events.
• Complete tasks promptly and accurately.
• Collaborate with colleagues and maintain courteous relationships.
• Maintain open relationships with students, guests, and staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
