Job summary

Leidos in Washington, DC, is seeking a Financial Analyst to partner with FAA task orders, delivering accurate financial management for NISC. You’ll work in a fast-paced, hybrid environment, with one day per week in the DC office and flexible home workspace.

You will prepare invoices, manage funding, and support cost reporting while collaborating with Task Order Managers and Subcontracts teams to ensure forecasting accuracy and dashboard responsiveness.

Qualifications

• BA degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s with <2 years of experience.
• Strong financial planning, analysis, and accounting skills.
• Ability to gather and synthesize data from multiple systems.
• Problem-solver with strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, clear and collaborative.
• Ability to excel in fast-paced, remote-team settings.
• Strong Excel skills (formulas, v-lookups, macros).
• Experience supporting process or program improvements.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed, accurate monthly FAA invoices and substantiation.
• Recommend improvements to invoice accuracy and cost support.
• Track billing lags, journal entries, and resolved withheld invoices.
• Support task order development, pricing, and funding management.
• Participate in weekly ODC & Travel reconciliations.
• Track subcontractor costs and funding.
• Report overtime metrics to FAA customers.
• Work with Task Order Managers on monthly ETC updates and forecasting accuracy.
• Respond to financial dashboard inquiries.
• Manage WADs and weekly reconciliations.
• Support funding tracking with Subcontracts and Contracts teams.
• Present financial status updates to FAA customers.
• Set up charge numbers, reconcile billing lags, and support p-card and FedEx reconciliations.
• Prepare weekly journal entries (overhead and travel adjustments).
• Support ad-hoc cost reporting and performance analysis.
