Job summary

UCLA is seeking an Export Control Analyst to support development, implementation, and administration of the campus export control compliance program. You will participate in license determinations, including deemed exports reviews, and assist the campus community with export control and sanctions regulations.

The role requires excellent writing and verbal communication, the ability to work independently, and strong discretion. Remote work is allowed with some on-site requirements as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills to ensure the effective exchange of ideas with a wide audience.
• Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships across the campus and with the UC Office of the President.
• Ability to appropriately prioritize work in an environment of fluctuating workloads and changing priorities.
• Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and follow through on assignments to completion.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, implementation and administration of UCLA's export control compliance program.
• Participate in license determinations on transactions, including deemed exports reviews for visa beneficiaries and visitors, shipments, travel, and financial transactions.
• Provide support to the campus community for complying with export control and sanctions regulations.
