Job summary

Everforth Apex seeks an Executive Director of Software Engineering to drive strategic and technical leadership for modern digital products, improving patient experiences and healthcare delivery. You will scale the software engineering practice, align teams, and champion secure, cloud-native development.

The role focuses on establishing standards, product-minded engineering, and governance across AWS/Azure environments, with AI-enabled solutions and DevOps practices at the core.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, business or related field is required; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible software engineering and technology leadership experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of modern software architecture, including Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, API development, microservices, cloud-native architecture, DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing; AWS or Azure experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee custom software development and engineering initiatives across the enterprise.
• Establish and scale software engineering standards, governance, and operating models.
• Evolve a fragmented software engineering environment into a consistent, scalable practice.
