Job summary

Sentara Medical Group is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse – Physician Practice in a remote capacity. The role supports ambulatory care in a physician practice or ambulatory clinic setting, including patient triage, education, and coordination with physicians and staff.

The ideal candidate has an ADN with 1–2 years of ambulatory nursing experience, RN license, and BLS. BSN is preferred and EHR proficiency is required to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• An ADN is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Ambulatory/clinic nursing experience preferred (1-2 years).
• Current state RN license and NCLEX-RN passed; BLS required.
• AMB-BC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and perform triage in person or by phone.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments.
• Provide patient education and self-management support.
• Coordinate referrals, follow-up, and continuity of care.
