Job summary

Optimal Maintenance & Construction is seeking an Estimator/Surveyor to prepare detailed quotations, assess project scope and costs, and collaborate with suppliers and clients to gather pricing. The role supports company growth by winning quotes and ensuring profitable delivery.

This is a remote South Africa-based position with UK hours, requiring strong communication skills and experience in construction/refurbishment, plus proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

• Experience in Construction & Refurbishment.
• Clear grasp of quoting to project delivery and client expectations.
• Excellent communicator with clients, suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engage with clients to generate quotations and tender invites.
• Write and issue desktop quotations and maintain cost competitiveness.
• Attend site visits for quote scoping and document quotes in the CRM.
• Coordinate materials, access, and client communications for quotes.
• Act as single point of contact for the client through the job lifecycle.
• Provide job summaries and updates to clients as required.
• Meet weekly/monthly KPIs for quotes turnaround and conversion.
