Job summary

SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, designing, building and maintaining utility scale solar, battery storage and high voltage substation projects nationwide.

The O&M Estimator prepares accurate cost estimates for long-term service agreements on solar and BESS projects, collaborating with business development, project managers and engineers, while ensuring timely, accurate bids.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or architectural degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience.
Working knowledge of utility scale solar and BESS equipment and operation.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook) and exceptional Excel skills.

Responsibilities

Review RFPs, project plans, specifications and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing.
Accurately identify and quantify equipment and OEM requirements.
Meet and maintain bidding schedules; participate in estimate reviews.
Work with subcontractors to define costs for minor scopes and maintain vendor relations.
