Job summary

Confidential Employer in Atlanta, GA, seeks an experienced ERISA attorney to lead complex retirement plan corrections for clients nationwide. You will advise on ERISA, IRC, and compliance, and guide clients through examinations and remediation with a hands-on approach.

The role offers remote work within 100 miles of Atlanta, with a competitive base salary of $170,000 to $210,000 plus performance bonuses, client origination incentives, comprehensive benefits, and professional development

Qualifications

• Active ERISA or employee benefits law experience is required.
• 3+ years of experience in retirement plan corrections and compliance remediation.
• Hands-on experience with IRS EPCRS procedures including SCP and VCP.
• Strong understanding of 401(k) and other qualified retirement plans.
• Ability to analyze complex plan failures and develop correction strategies.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and client advisory skills.
• Experience with DOL/EBSA matters and fiduciary corrections is preferred.
• Collaborative mindset with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex retirement plan correction projects from issue to resolution.
• Advise clients on ERISA, IRC, qualified retirement plans, and compliance.
• Identify and resolve failures in 401(k) plan contributions, testing, and administration.
• Develop and implement corrections under EPCRS (SCP and VCP).
• Prepare analyses, calculations, amendments, and client recommendations.
• Guide clients through IRS and DOL examinations and remediation matters.
• Partner with plan admins, actuaries, and other retirement professionals.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to practice growth.
