Job summary

IMI seeks an Equipment Service Technician to install, service and support MILCURE wheel refinishing equipment across the United States and Canada. The role involves extensive travel (60–65%), on-site installations, operator training, and proactive issue resolution.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of industrial equipment experience, a high school diploma, strong mechanical and communication skills, and the ability to plan travel and work independently in diverse environments. Remote position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical/trade school preferred.
• 3–5 years of maintenance/repair experience with high-volume industrial equipment.
• Experience with blasting equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Travel 60–65% with some weekends/evenings.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues by phone and guide customers through repairs.
• Document all activities in CRM for efficiency and sales visibility.
• Coordinate with Customer Experience Team on operating issues and minor repairs.
• Available for emergency service at customer sites.
• Site visits to resolve major issues and discuss with leadership.
• Installations: pre-installation planning, coordination with customer/Sales/Operations, and post-installation follow-up.
• Provide on-site training for operators and managers on safe use and maintenance.
