Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Systems Management Analyst to join the Revenue Cycle IT Support Team in the United States. The role focuses on configuring, maintaining, and supporting Epic Hospital Billing workflows, ensuring accurate data flow across systems and timely reimbursement.

You’ll have the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S., with in-office requirements for Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. areas four days per week.

Qualifications

• Active Epic certification in Epic Resolute Hospital Billing Administration.
• 2+ years of Epic implementation and/or support.
• Ability to participate in projects and upgrades requiring after hours availability and support during Client's Business Hours (primarily EST).
• Additional Epic certifications (e.g., HB Contracts, Charge Router, Resolute PB Admin, HB Claims, etc) are preferred.
• 3+ years of experience with Epic implementation and/or support (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in Epic security administration, CDM/Charge Handler, Charge Router, Reporting and/or General Ledger Extracts (preferred).
• Proficiency with Excel, Visio, SharePoint and Teams (preferred).
• Proven ability to collaborate with colleagues through clear, effective communication (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise in Epic Hospital Billing, including system design, building, testing, implementation, and security.
• Collaborate with leadership and end users to design and configure solutions, including workflow analysis and application configuration for enhancements and issue resolution.
• Participate in multiple Epic upgrade initiatives and workflow enhancements through project phases.
• Facilitate design and validation sessions with thorough documentation, follow-up, and issue escalation.
• Maintain system documentation, including design specifications and build records.
• Monitor production applications and respond to incidents.
• Execute all phases of testing, including unit, system, and integrated testing for Epic Hospital Billing.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications; manage system updates, enhancements, and release testing.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards for system configuration and change control.
• Build and maintain relationships with end users, stakeholders, and business partners.
• Facilitate communication across teams from requirements gathering through implementation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, escalating complex problems as appropriate.
• Maintain knowledge of Epic functionality and operational workflows.
