Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Environmental Scientist to support mining operations with EIAs, EMPs, and rigorous environmental monitoring from anywhere.

Leadership in environmental compliance, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement will be essential for success in a fully remote role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management, with specific experience in the mining industry.
• Strong understanding of environmental legislation, permitting processes, and impact assessment methodologies.
• Proficiency in environmental monitoring techniques and data analysis.
• Excellent report writing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, essential for a remote position.
• Experience with GIS and environmental modeling software is an advantage.

• Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) for new and existing mining projects.
• Develop and implement environmental management plans (EMPs) and monitoring programs.
