Job summary

Environmental Research Group, LLC (ERG) is seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our Environmental Compliance Team to support a variety of environmental compliance projects. When not performing work at project sites, this position can be based anywhere in the USA with preference for candidates within an hour of a regional airport.

You will plan and execute technical projects, conduct regulatory research, write reports, support permitting, and conduct site visits and surveys while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or closely related field. Master's degree / PE / certifications are a plus.
• Working knowledge of federal environmental programs; DoW policy knowledge a plus.
• Excellent writing and communication skills; attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and be responsive.
• Flexibility to serve in multiple roles and teams depending on client and project.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute technical environmental projects.
• Conduct regulatory research and write reports.
• Support permitting processes and site visits.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and clients.
• Travel about one week per month, including some international travel.
• Perform fieldwork indoors, outdoors, and industrial locations.
