Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in the field of environmental science, environmental management, environmental or chemical engineering, biology, hydrology, or other environmental discipline
• 5-10 years of environmental experience in a regulatory agency, consulting, or private industry
• 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Management and supervision of staff and operations, including training/coaching and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Manage unit budget to monitor resources for staff training, hiring, equipment/software, and travel.
• Serve as a regulatory resource for staff, stakeholders, customers, and the public; make unit-level decisions when needed.
• Develop process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and output; track and report performance metrics.
• Prepare annual reports and assist with budget projects and expenditures.
