Job summary

ICF is seeking an Environmental Planner to support NEPA compliance for a range of projects nationwide, including energy, transportation, and disaster management initiatives. The role is remote-friendly with a preference for Florida or the Eastern United States and office options where available.

You will work with clients and senior staff to develop analyses, manage project tasks, and deliver high-quality EAs/EISs and supporting documents, leveraging strong communication and organizational

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in natural or physical science, urban planning, public policy, economics, environmental management or related subjects.
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop written materials and analyses for EAs or EISs or categorical exclusions.
• Support meetings with clients or other stakeholders (preparing agendas and meeting summaries).
• Support federal, state, and local permitting and compliance for traditional and renewable energy, transmission, land use planning, and other projects in compliance with NEPA and other regulations.
• Review NEPA documents prepared by the applicant’s contractor.
• Review environmental components of applications.
• Support the Project Management team.
